Thank You for Your Business!

Your new septic system has been successfully installed. Please review the important information about your new system, below.

What To Expect After Septic System Installation

An as built will be submitted to the Public Health Department (PHD) by the designer within 30 days of installation. Once the PHD has approved the final installation, you will receive a packet in the mail stating that your new septic system is ready for normal household use. Please keep this information for your records.

System/Ground Settling

  • The ground around the installation area may settle over the next few weeks.

  • Minor depressions are normal and can be filled with topsoil if desired.

Initial Operation

  • Your new septic system is ready for normal household use, once installation is complete.

  • If the system includes a pump or alarm, ensure power remains connected at all times.

Landscaping and Surface Restoration

  • Grass or ground cover can be replanted once the soil has settled.

  • Avoid planting trees or shrubs with deep roots near the tank or drain field.

Maintenance and Care

  • Schedule regular inspections every 1 year for pressure systems and 3 years for gravity systems.

  • Pumping of the septic tank is recommended every 3–5 years or earlier if needed.

  • Do not flush non-biodegradable items (including “flushable” wipes), grease, or chemicals down drains.

  • Avoid heavy traffic or equipment over the drain field and tank area to prevent damage. Nothing heavier than a lawnmower.

  • Ensure that all lids and observation ports remain exposed and accessible for future maintenance.

  • You have a filter located in the septic tank (first tank in a pressure system) on the outlet side. Clean your filter every 3 (three) months; sooner if needed.

  • Pressure Systems Only: Do not adjust any pump/alarm settings. Contact us immediately if there is an alarm going off or any other issue with the pump/alarm.

When to Call Us

  • If you notice slow drains, drains backing up, gurgling sounds, or sewage odors.

  • Wet spots or lush green grass over the drain field could be an indicator of a drainfield issue.

  • Alarm sounding.

  • When it's time to schedule your maintenance inspection.

  • When you need to schedule a pumping.

  • If you need your filter cleaned (service charge will apply).

  • For general septic questions.

Warranty and Support

  • We guarantee your septic system installation for 1 (one) year after the install is completed. This includes labor and materials.

  • Any misuse or tampering of your septic system will void this guarantee.

  • Keep all documentation, including permits and inspection reports, for future reference.
